Up in the hills of Northeast Pennsylvania, there’s a small bakery that makes an almost magical pizza that is eaten cold or, at least, room temp. They call it “pitza”! Bob Shema calls it “yummy,” and after moving to Texas he couldn’t get that tempting slice out of his mind.
Time went by and no longer satisfied with grabbing a box or four on trips back to the Northeast, he started to explore the idea of trying to recreate the amazing taste and texture of the pizza he loved in his new home state.
Years – yes, years! – later, Bob Shema finally did it! The unique, fluffy bread! The flavor! That zippy sauce and special cheese! With the help of the world renowned chef Christof Syre and a good buddy back in PA, they created their own grab-n-go, cold slice that is now being shared with the world. We founded this little company with a mission of spreading the wonder of our artisan-style pizza far and wide.
